Who we are

Expressing everyday situations and feelings in a creative and authentic way is at the heart of Jazz Duo Tabea & Grace's music. Their dreamy interpretations of jazz standards and original compositions feature charming melodies, narrative lyricism and natural sounds that flow together in her singing and piano playing. The music touches with a playful and flexible way of dealing with the ups and downs of life, alternating soft, sweet tones with energetic, dirty colors or full sound structures with lots of space.

Jazz Duo Tabea & Grace are the Korean pianist Grace Na and the German/Dutch vocalist Tabea Koloska. The two met while studying at the Aaron Copland School of Music, NYC and together they explore the vastness of jazz music to tell old stories anew. Their repertoire features a range of different jazz styles including swing, Latin, musical and singer-songwriter.

Tabea Koloska

Vocalist and composer Tabea Koloska captivates with her authentic originals and warm, expressive voice. Raised in Dresden’s intimate music scene, her passion for jazz led her through Maastricht to New York City, where she earned her master’s. Since August 2023, she lives in Rotterdam, expressing everyday feelings, thoughts, and stories in English, German, and Dutch.

Grace Na

Jazz pianist Grace Na received her Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies from Queens College. There, she studied under the world-renowned alto saxophonist Antonio Hart, as well as the American jazz pianists David Berkman and Jeb Patton. She performed extensively with local musicians at jazz clubs in New York City during this time. After returning to Korea at the end of 2022, she formed the Grace Na Quartet and completed work on her debut album. She has since begun performing at renowned Korean jazz venues such as Club Palm, Mammy Blue, Club Bartican and Awake Hall.
